The Service Excellence Recognition Award ceremony for the year 2023-24 was organised on February 7, 2024. Many dignitaries associated with Sainik Dal service were present in this function as special guests. After the national anthem, launching of two books - Shri Hanuman Chalisa - A Deliberation translated by Dhananjay Keskar and Investment Theory by Warren Buffet, at the hands of Chief Guest was done. President Meenal Tai welcomed the chief guests, awardees, special guests and all the attendees and felicitated the guests with appropriate gifts. PP Suhas Raikar gave information about the past Service Excellence Recognition Award given by the club. Awardee Shri Aabasaheb Kamble was briefly introduced by Rtn. Swati Patil. The Manpatra was read by Ann Aarti Dengare. The Chief Guest was Brigadier Vijay Prabhu - "Vishisht Seva Padak Sammanita" (Retd). He felicitated Shri. Abasaheb Kamble with Manpatra, shawl, shrifal and gifts. In his message, Mr. Abasaheb said that keeping in mind the goal of fulfilling his unfulfilled dream, he established a military school for the needy children of farmers and named it as Shrimant Bajirao Peshwa Military School, the invincible warrior. He expressed his gratitude for the special support of many persons like Shri Devarat Bapat etc. He expressed his intention to continue the work of organising a caste-free society by taking inspiration from the thoughts of freedom fighter Savarkar. Mr. Abasaheb concluded his speech amid thunderous applause in the packed hall. On the request Shri Devarat Bapat unfolded Mr. Abasaheb's tough journey. The audience kept appreciating Abasaheb Kamble's determination and bravery. After that, the author of the Manpatra Shri. Vivek Naralkar was felicitated by the chief guest. Rtn. Arundhati Purandare briefly introduced the Chief Guest Brigadier Vijay Prabhu. In his speech, the Brigadier promised to support Srimant Bajirao Peshwa Military School and expressed confidence that this military school will provide leadership to the Maratha Empire in the future. President Meenal Tai felicitated the chief guest Brigadier Vijay Prabhu with shawl, sreephal and gifts. Secretary Smita Shah thanked everyone. Annet Aditya Raikar's melodious Pasayadaan rendition concluded this graceful ceremony. The members of the club enthusiastically learned more about Abasaheb's work while relishing delicious food.
